Lonely Christmas trees
Over the Christmas holidays (now a dim memory I grant), I signed up to a Facebook group called The Lonely Christmas Tree.
The group was the brainchild of London-based photographer Andreas Schmidt http://www.andreasschmidt.co.uk/info.htm.
The Lonely Christmas Tree page featured photographers from around the world posting images of sad, forgotten, decorated, abandoned, tiny, burning, and all manner of Christmas trees.
Perhaps it was the season, when the world goes into hiatus and the brain is on vacation, but I rather enjoyed the fine images from foriegn places and the witty banter that went with them. Now the images have been gathered together in a cute blurb book – http://www.blurb.com/books/2952769 (there’s a good book tease preview of the work).
