122 Cuba Street, Wellington (4)

This summer Wellington poet Lucy Orbell took the negative out of our common sayings in an art poster campaign called High Point. (see image above)

Lucy writes: “[High Point] navigated negative language and took common cliches that begin with “don’t” and stripped out the offending word. The result was a series of strangely familiar sayings that left a positive mark in the world.”

Now these clever posters are for sale. You buy one by contacting Lucy at lucy.orbell@gmail.com

I previously published one of Lucy’s poems from her book Love Lyrics for Men on this blog. The poem has been one of the popular blog posts, so if you haven’t seen the poem already, check it out.
